Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wizard of Covington LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Covington Dispatch service available at covingtondispatch.app (the "Service").

1. Who this policy applies to

The Service is used by independent tradespeople (such as plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and handymen) to manage jobs and send invoices to their customers. Two groups have information processed by the Service:

  • Subscribers — the tradespeople and businesses that sign up for an account at covingtondispatch.app.
  • End-Customers — individuals who hire a Subscriber to perform a service. End-Customers do not create accounts. The Subscriber enters the End-Customer's name, phone number, and service address into the Service in order to send the End-Customer an invoice.

2. Information we collect

From Subscribers

  • Account information: name, email, password (hashed), business name, phone, business address, county.
  • Optional uploads: business logo, job-site photos.
  • Payment details: handled by our payment processors (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data: IP addresses, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps for security and product improvement.

From End-Customers (entered by Subscribers)

  • Name, mobile phone number, optional email, service address, and Subscriber-entered notes about the job.

3. How we use information

  • To operate the Service: create accounts, manage jobs, generate invoices, deliver invoice SMS via Twilio, and process Subscriber payments via Stripe.
  • To communicate with Subscribers about their account, billing, and product updates.
  • To deliver transactional SMS to End-Customers on behalf of Subscribers (invoice and payment-confirmation messages — see Section 5).
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers we use to operate the Service, and only as necessary to provide it to you:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Subscriber subscriptions and End-Customer invoice payments.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery.
  • DigitalOcean — hosting.
  • Sentry — error monitoring.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. SMS communications and mobile information

The Service sends transactional SMS messages to End-Customers on behalf of Subscribers. Messages relate exclusively to a service the End-Customer has engaged the Subscriber to perform — typically an invoice link and, after payment, a confirmation receipt.

Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the SMS delivery providers (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages described above. Categories of information described in this Privacy Policy explicitly exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent — that data will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency: typically 1–3 messages per service event (invoice send + up to 2 manual reminders + 1 payment confirmation). Frequency varies based on Subscriber activity and End-Customer engagement.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier apply to all SMS messages.

Opt-out: End-Customers may reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out of further SMS from the Service. End-Customers may reply HELP for assistance. Opt-out is processed automatically by our SMS provider and is honored immediately for all future messages from the originating Subscriber's account.

Opt-in mechanism: End-Customer consent to receive SMS is collected by the Subscriber at the time the End-Customer engages the Subscriber for service, using the disclosure language described at /sms-policy. Consent is collected per service engagement and is not transferred between Subscribers.

6. Data retention

We retain Subscriber data for the lifetime of the account. After account closure, we retain data for up to 90 days to support re-activation, then delete or anonymize it. End-Customer records (name, phone, job history) are retained while the Subscriber's account is active and deleted alongside the Subscriber's data on closure. Subscribers may request earlier deletion of specific End-Customer records by contacting us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, row-level security in our database to enforce per-business data isolation, and limited access controls for our team. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subscribers may access, correct, export, or delete their account data from within the Service or by contacting us. End-Customers should contact the Subscriber who entered their information for access or correction requests, and may contact us directly to opt out of all future SMS or to request deletion of their record.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify Subscribers by email.
