SMS Policy & Opt-In Disclosure
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This page documents how Covington Dispatch (a service of Wizard of Covington LLC) handles SMS consent for invoice delivery and payment-confirmation messages. It is intended for transparency to End-Customers, for our Subscribers' reference, and for review by mobile carriers and SMS aggregators.
1. Who sends, who receives
Covington Dispatch is a software platform used by independent tradespeople ("Subscribers" — plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, handymen, locksmiths, pressure washers, and similar service providers in Newton County, Georgia and the surrounding region). Subscribers use the platform to send invoice notifications to their service customers ("End-Customers").
2. Type of messages
All SMS sent through Covington Dispatch are transactional and account-notification in nature. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. The categories are:
- Invoice delivery: sent immediately after the Subscriber completes a service and creates an invoice. Contains the Subscriber's business name, the End-Customer's name, and a unique link to a hosted invoice page where the End-Customer can view line items and pay.
- Manual reminders: the Subscriber may manually resend the invoice link up to two additional times if the End-Customer has not paid. The platform enforces a hard cap of 3 total messages per invoice.
- Payment confirmation: sent automatically when an End-Customer completes payment, confirming receipt.
3. Sample messages
Invoice delivery

Payment confirmation
Payment received — thank you for paying Jones Plumbing. Reply STOP to opt out.
4. How End-Customer consent is collected
End-Customer consent is collected by the Subscriber before the Subscriber enters the End-Customer's phone number into the platform. Consent is collected via one of the following channels and the Subscriber agrees, as part of our Terms of Service, to obtain and document it:
- Verbal disclosure during service scheduling. The Subscriber reads the disclosure language below to the End-Customer during the phone call or in-person conversation in which service is arranged.
- Written service authorization form. The End-Customer signs a printed form, given to them at the time of service, that contains the disclosure language below.
5. Required disclosure language
Subscribers are required to use the following disclosure language (or substantially equivalent language) when collecting an End-Customer's mobile phone number:
By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from [Subscriber Business Name] regarding invoices, payment confirmations, and service notifications related to the service you have engaged. Message frequency varies (typically 1–3 messages per service event). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. How End-Customers opt out
End-Customers may reply STOP to any message at any time. Twilio (our SMS delivery provider) processes STOP replies automatically and immediately blocks all future messages from the originating number. End-Customers may reply HELP to receive contact information for support. End-Customers may also contact Covington Dispatch directly at [email protected] to request opt-out across all Subscribers using the platform.
7. Privacy of mobile information
Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data) is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. It is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages described above. Categories of information described in our Privacy Policy explicitly exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent — that data is not shared with any third parties. See the full Privacy Policy SMS section.
8. Carrier and regulatory compliance
Covington Dispatch sends SMS through Twilio using A2P 10DLC registered numbers. Brand and campaign registration is held by Wizard of Covington LLC. Subscribers are not permitted to send messages outside the categories described in Section 2.
